  This school likes to call children's aid over hair. My child is African Canadian.my parents help me with my child as I am not well. We pay a pretty penny every 2 weeks to have her hair braided.it gets frizzy after 4 or 5 days. They obviously know nothing about black culture. Of course children's aid found the call unfounded. After the flood I had no computer and they didn't contact me to let me know anythin they changed the location of meetings last minute. My daughter missed 5 days of school because of it. They called children's aid . Again they said the school concerns were unfounded. I was sick during the work to rule and tried to make arrangements to meet the teacher she said she would get back to me with date and time. My parents tried to get a meeting she said the same thing to them....never got back to us. She called children's aid and the girl went to the school, met with my daughter , really nice girl. Why didn't the school call me any of these times especially to discuss their so called issues? No one told me that a social worker was going to meet with my daughter. Anyways, my daughter will not be attending this school next year. Too much drama. My daughter is probably better looked after than their kids. I have a great family supporting us through my illness. Thank you Brookland school and Mrs Mac Donald for upsetting our lives over your own indiscretions and my baby girls hair.
